Elias James Cersine

Elias James Cersine, 26, of McKinley, formerly of Babbitt passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. 
Elias was born on February 23, 1991 in Ely to Jack and Tracy (Tobin) Cersine. Elias loved spending time with his son Barrett, bringing him fishing was one of his favorite things to do.  He also enjoyed skiing, hunting, and blacksmithing with his siblings.  Elias also enjoyed spending time with his friends.  Helping others made him feel good. If he saw a chance he was lending somebody a hand and making another friend.
Elias is survived by his son: Barrett, his parents: Jack and Tracy, his siblings: Gabriel (Ashlyn Lehman), Madeline(Joshua) Christianson-Petersen, Jonah, Christian, and Thadeus, paternal grandparents: Jack and Norma Cersine, maternal grandparents: Jim (Karen) Tobin and Marcia (Bill) Phillips and his great-grandmother: Irma Tobin, niece: Tuuli, aunt: Sandi Tobin, and cousin: Chyenne Dellinger.
Memorial gifts will be used to open a memorial education fund.
Funeral services will be held at Evangelical Free Church of Embarrass on Friday, May 19 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. 
Family arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
