Elsie L. Tervola, 95, of Ely passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Carefree Assisted Living.
Elsie was born on June 8, 1921 in New York Mills, MN to Peter and Anna (Hoythya) Blom. She moved to Winton, MN in the late 1940s with her husband and raised two children.
Elsie made rosettes & danish kringle at Christmas that many enjoyed, she enjoyed growing flowers and gardening, and also she enjoyed her times with the Winton Canasta Club.
She is survived by her daughter Denise (Darwin) Salo of Babbitt, MN, son David N. (Virginia) Tervola of West Bend, WI, four (4) grandchildren, five (5) great grandchildren, sister Bernice (George) Jacobson of Ottertail, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Norman E. Tervola, son Rodney A. Tervola, and 10 brothers & sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11 at noon at Kerntz Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Family arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
