Richard Lloyd Rosett

Richard (Dick) Lloyd Rosett, 83, of Embarrass, MN, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, August 25th, with his children by his side.
 
Dick was born on July 11th, 1934 in Marshall County/Grand Plain Twp, MN. He graduated high school in Goodridge, MN.  He worked on a farm in Goodridge.  He married the love of his life, Dolly Gutterud, at the Silver Creek Church in Thief River Falls, MN before moving to Farmington, MI to begin building their family.  They moved back to Goodridge for a time, and eventually made their home in Embarrass, MN where he worked for Erie Mining/LTV Steel until his retirement.
 
Dick loved the outdoors, avidly hunting on his land and fishing local waters.  He enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends, gardening and farming on his property.
 
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Ludvig, his sister Edna and brother John, and his beloved wife Dolly.  He is survived by his sons, Gary (Joan), Randy (Mary), Doug and his daughter Shelly (Alex).  He is survived by grandchildren Dawn, Michael, Kathryn, Bryan, Kristina and Joseph, great-grandchildren Arianna, Weston and Maveric and a brother: Lawrence Rosett.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 1st, 11 am, with visitation at 10 am, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Babbitt, MN. A committal service will be held in Goodridge, MN at a date to be announced. Family services have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
