Jean Larson Obituary

Jean M. (Dolly) Larson (82) passed away April 3, 2018, at the Boundary Waters Care Center (BWCC) in Ely.  Dolly’s last actions were to blow kisses of goodbye. She had a sweet and laughing spirit and often gave kind words to people she met.
Dolly is survived by her husband Clary Larson, children Gary (Margie), Robert (Barbara), Diane, and Mary Kay.  Also surviving are nine Grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; her brother Robert Grant;  numerous nieces and nephews along with cherished friends Helen Huovinen and Janice Harris.
She was born March 21, 1936 to George and Mary Grant.  The last child of 17 had a wonderful life.  Her hometown was Bayfield, WI where she met her future husband at the skating rink.  Dolly and Clary were married 64 years.
Her interests included family, cooking, playing cards, the game Scrabble, and especially winning at Bingo and taking her chances at the casino.  Family and friends have many warm memories of Dolly singing and playing guitar.  One of her favorite artists was Kitty Wells.
We would like to thank the staff at BWCC and Hospice for her comfortable care the past 13 months.
She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kerntz Funeral Home in Ely on the 28th of April at 2 p.m.
