Marvin LeRoy Bunney

Marvin Le Roy Bunney, 85, of Ely, formerly of Stacy, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely, MN, surrounded by his family.
Marv was born on Feb. 20, 1933 in Michigan, ND to Morris and Alpha (Dahl) Bunney. He married Dona (Storlie) on July 21, 1956. He and Dona enjoyed raising their three sons and watching their four grandchildren grow up. Marv’s family was his pride and joy.
He retired from the 3M company after 30 plus years of doing a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He and Dona enjoyed many years of traveling the country and visiting their many friends and family.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dona of 62 years; children: Scott (Robin) of Ely, Morris of Springfield, MO, Tim (Sharon) of Hartselle, AL. Grandchildren: Paul of Sitka, AK, Hannah of Richfield, MN, Hailey of Hartselle, AL and Thomas of Hartselle, AL.
Burial will be at a later date in the Ely Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Boundary Waters Care Center and Northwoods Hospice of Ely. Family arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
