Marydel (Warren) Marolt

Marydel I. Marolt, 90 of Babbitt, died Friday, August 10, 2018. She passed away peacefully, with family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of the Iron Range.

Marydel was born to Clifford and Mary Warren on July 24, 1928 in Duluth, MN where she lived until she married her husband Albert in 1947. Marydel then moved to Babbitt in 1956 where she raised her family. Marydel was a homemaker and active member of the community. She was a member of the Babbitt Lions Club and she also served in the local Habitat for Humanity efforts. Marydel enjoyed the outdoors, her flower gardens, her family and her many close friends.

Marydel is survived by her four sons, Clifford (Marilyn) of Rochester, MN, Warren (Janice) of Virginia, MN David (Carla) of Austin, TX and Peter of San Antonio, TX; and a daughter, Rosemary (Gary) of Greenfield, IN; one brother Bruce Warren of San Antonio, TX. Marydel was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and will be welcoming the 13th great-grandchild within days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Clifford and Mary. Husband, Albert, daughter Sharon Yvonne, one brother, Guy; and two sisters, Madge and Ruth.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Babbitt, MN with a visitation an hour prior, to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
