Michael William Lettow

Michael William Lettow was born April 7, 1959 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Donald and Phyllis (Feist) Lettow.  He was baptized on April 19, 1959 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The family moved to Little Falls Minnesota where Michael attended country school. Later the family moved to Crookston, Minnesota where he graduated from Crookston High School in 1977. He enlisted into the National Guard Reserves after graduation. Michael worked various jobs, but his pride and joy was spending time with his children and grandson.  Michael passed away at his home in Ely, MN on August 27, 2019.

Michael is survived by his children, Elizabeth, Kyle, Derek, and Grandson Lamarr, his father, Donald Lettow and brothers: Kevin (Michelle) Lettow, John (Denise) Lettow, Patrick Lettow, Jeffrey (Kari) Lettow, Thomas (Jennifer) Lettow, sisters: Rita (Alvin) Boeck, Julie (Bill) Krumwiede, Diane (Roy) Baxter, as well as many nieces and nephews as well as some great nieces and nephews.  He is proceeded in death by his mom, Phyllis Lettow and grandparents Michael & Catherine Feist and William & Margaret Lettow, and many aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Kerntz Funeral Home in Ely, MN.
