ANTOINETTE "TONI" (GREGORICH) MITCHELL

Antoinette Marie Mitchell, age 67, of Ely, passed away August 9, 2023 in the home of her youngest son due to health complications.

Toni was born on November 13, 1955 to Edward and Roslyn (Levar) Gregorich. Toni grew up in Ely with her two brothers Eddie and Joseph. Her father was a long-time school janitor everyone knew as Koko. Antoinette was a friend to everyone and a proud mother to her two boys. No matter how hard life was at times she always had food on the table, a warm house for her family and always put her kids first. She lived her life always taking care of others, from her sons to her family and beyond. Toni loved to garden, paint, collect coins and always loved to make something out of nothing. Toni lived her last years with her long-time partner Harry Carlson Jr. Harry and Toni spent these years together on White Iron Lake working around the house gardening and making memories. She is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Eddie.

Survivors include her two sons Jeff Mitchell, Rick Mitchell, her brother Joseph (Jolette) Gregorich and his family. Her grandchildren are Mariah Mitchell, Niko Mitchell, Maddux Mitchell, and Beau Mitchell along with numerous cousins.

A celebration of life for Toni is planned for Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Samz in Winton. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
