Brian Jarvi

Brian Daniel Jarvi, 57, of Ely, Minnesota, passed away on January 11, 2024. Born on March 30, 1966, in Ely, Brian was the beloved son of Gerald Jarvi and Carolyn Surla. He is survived by his loving son, Shane (Maisy) Jarvi, his father Gerald, his mother Carolyn (Bill) Surla, his brother Brett, and his sister Joni (Billy) Hemming.

Brian was known for his easy-going nature, fun-loving spirit and kind heart. He had a deep love for animals and cherished their companionship. Brian had a passion for carpentry and spent his entire career as a dedicated and skilled carpenter. He was known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail, and his work was admired by many.

In his free time, Brian enjoyed various outdoor activities. He found solace and joy in fishing hunting, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and explore the beautiful landscapes of the North country.

Brian’s educational journey led him to Minnesota North College, where he excelled academically and earned a place on the Dean’s List. His commitment to learning was evident throughout his life.

A private family ceremony is planned to honor Brian’s life. The family appreciates the support and condolences received during this difficult time.

Brian Daniel Jarvi will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who mourn his loss.
