Harlan Stanley (Buck) Gorecki: November 17, 1954-December 16, 2024, passed away of health complications at home in hospice care on December 16, 2024, with his daughter and wife by his side.
Anyone that knew Buck knew he loved to hunt, fish and dogsled. Lots of trips to Lake Superior, Lake of the Woods, Basswood and on the Houseboat. Buck could do everything. He was a trapper, a guide, he worked in the mine, Gen II, an EMT and firefighter in Babbitt, a logger and retired as a 49’er.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Gorecki Sr. and LaVerne (Stellmach) Gorecki; siblings, John Gorecki Jr., Sharon Gorecki, Gerald Gorecki and Loreen Pinckney; Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie; his children, Ronnie, Laura and Dylan; brother Loren and Ben and brother-in-law Bobby Pinckney; Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Buck is sadly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at the Hideaway in Babbitt, MN on Saturday, July 12 from 3pm-5pm.
