Lawrence Allan Hardy (Joker)

Lawrence Hardy went to be with our Lord on August 28, 2025. Larry was the son of Boyce and Josephine (Burja) Hardy of Babbitt, MN.
Larry was a Vietnam Vet in the Army Fifth Special Forces Group, known as the Green Beret. He was the 30th Vietnam soldier to be awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. He received four Silver Stars, Bronze Star with V device, five Purple Hearts, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal, Legion of Merit (Vietnam), Medal of Honor First Class (Vietnam), Legion of Merit (France), and numerous campaign medals.
One of Larry’s greatest loves was his companion of 14 years, a long-haired chihuahua, Jax! Larry loved music, motorcycles and Hershey bars!
Larry is survived by his siblings, Barb Brust (Maack) of Fergus Falls, MN, James Hardy (Jo Anne) of Embarrass, MN, Debby Rolfson (Mike) of Embarrass, MN, Peggy Hardy of Babbitt, MN, Judy Erickson (Wayne) of Erhard, MN, Danny Hardy (Brenda) of Colfax, WA, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Boyce and Jo, and his sisters Bonnie and Donna.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
There will be a graveside service on September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ely Cemetery.
