Margaret Helen Skube

Margaret Helen Skube passed away at Essentia Health hospital in Duluth, Minnesota on September 18, 2024 at the age of 88. Marge was born in Biwabik, MN, raised in Embarrass, MN the second youngest of nine children. She married Albert Skube in Ely where she raised her family. She was an avid bowler, participating in many state tournaments. She enjoyed country music and line dancing. She loved following her children and grandchildren's sports and activities. She spent the past 14 years at Ecumen in Duluth. She traveled to Finland twice to see relatives and cherished her Finnish roots. She worked at the City of Ely and Razor Edge Systems.
She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Hilma Sipola (Mikkola); her husband Albert Skube; her son Rodney Skube; her siblings, William Sipola, Harriet Mattson, Betty Hill, Ruth Alaspa, Jeanette Mattson, Miriam Gornick and James Sipola.
She is survived by her children Roxanne Skube Korman (Dennis) of Cloquet, Minnesota; Richard Skube of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; Randy Skube (Becki) of Minnetonka, Minnesota; Renata Skube (Steve) of Duluth, Minnesota; Renee Beaumier (Matthew) of Duluth, Minnesota; and Rhonda Strum (Scott) of Duluth, Minnesota; nephew Greg Tulla (Jodi); her sibling Doris Sipola; and grandchildren, Katrina Souders (Russell), Nicholas Skube (Hannah), Henry, Claire and Abby Beaumier, Owen Strum and Lindsey Tulla. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The visitation and funeral will be held on September 28, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Ely, Minnesota. Visitation will be held at 10 o'clock a.m. with a Mass to follow at 11 o'clock a.m.
The Skube family would like to thank the Ecumen community and the Shores staff for all their support and care for our mother.
