Patricia L. (Helback) Wick, 92, of Duluth passed away April 26, 2022, at Chris Jensen. She was born December 27, 1929, to Gust and Lulu (Kultala) Helback in Ely Minnesota. She was raised in Ely and graduated from Ely High School Class of 1947.
After graduation Patsy moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Northern States Power in the purchasing department. Later she moved up and was the Secretary to the President of NSP. Patsy would travel home to Ely every weekend. She was a devote Christian and very active in her Church. She was an avid quilter, embroiderer, scrapbooker and enjoyed sewing.
In 1954 she married Rev. George Wick and together they had four children. Throughout the years they lived in Moose Lake, Superior, St. Paul, Ely, and Duluth.
She will be missed by her children LuAnn (John) Sandstrom of Silver Bay; Bradley (Connie) of Duluth; Colleen (Ken) Clements of Andover; and Tom (Kim) of Duluth. Grandchildren: Megan (Mike) Rossa, TJ Sandstrom, Jordan (Cassie) Sandstrom, Kirstin (Hunter) Panetti ; Jamie Thomas, Josh (Kelly) Wick, Bryan (Emily) Wick; Jenelle (Scott) Hatzung; Ashlee (John) Fields; Kenny Clements Jr.; Austin Wick and Brady Wick. Great grandchildren: Axel and Millie Rossa; Madden, Decker, and Lulu Sandstrom; Finley and Vivian Panetti; Makayla, Adara, Neriah, and Selah Thomas; Noah, Isaiah, Azariah, and Everly Wick; Olive Wick; Eleanor Hatzung; Colt and Remington Fields. She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Michelle) Helbacka of Duluth, several nieces and nephews, and longtime friends from various church congregations.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy
She is preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband George; brother Myron; grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A private family burial is being planned.
