Richard Hall

Richard Fred Hall, age 80, passed away March 31, 2024 at the Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely.

Dick was born in Ely to Russell and Irene (Buescher) Hall. He graduated from Ely Memorial High School In 1961. From there, he attended and graduated from UMD with his Bachelor's Degree and received his Master's Degree from Bemidji State University.

In 1966, Dick married Victoria Saari and had two children, Jenny and Russell. He taught at William Kelly High School in Silver Bay, MN and Juneau High School in Juneau, AK. Dick was also a Millwright at US Steel (Minntac) and later owned his own business, Hall Contracting. In his retirement, he enjoyed his family at his home on Birch Lake.

Dick is survived by his wife Vicki, his daughter Jenny Hall of Virginia, MN and son Russell (Miriam) Hall of Eau Claire, WI, along with 2 granddaughters, Elizabeth and Lily.

Funeral services are on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Ely, with a visitation one hour before. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
