Sharra 'Rusty', Brown

Sharra 'Rusty' Brown, aged 76, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Babbitt, MN. Born on November 27, 1949, Rusty lived a life marked by her caring nature, independence, and a remarkable sense of humor.

Rusty dedicated her career to supporting community development nonprofit organizations in Duluth, MN, where her efforts significantly contributed to the betterment of the community. Her work not only showcased her commitment to social causes but also her ability to inspire and engage others in meaningful community service.

Outside of her professional life, Rusty was an avid angler. Her happiest moments were spent fishing with her beloved husband Dan Brown who preceded her in death. Rusty is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Sylvia Godnai, who will miss her deeply.

Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service scheduled for July 15th at 2:00 PM at the Argo Cemetery in Babbitt, MN. (Located on highway 21 about 4 miles west of Babbitt) 

Rusty's memory will live on not just in the hearts of her family and friends but also through the lasting impact of her work in the community she served.
