Sheryll A Baier

Sheryll Ann (Sjoberg) Baier, born on July 27th, 1947 to John “Willie” and LaVerne “Lovey” (Ranta) Sjoberg, passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2020 at the Boundary Waters Care Center, after eight plus years of battling cancer.
She graduated from Ely Memorial High School in 1965, and married Robert Baier Jr. on October 9th, 1965 in Austin, MN. Sherry resided in Ely, MN for most of her life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Bob of 55 years, her four children Bob (Sandy) Baier of Ely, MN, Janelle (John) Huntbatch of Ely, MN, Dan Baier of Moose Lake, MN and David (Lissa Roberts) Baier of Hibbing, MN; her seven grandchildren, Janae, Bryan, Jordan, Brittany, Sydney, Jace and Blake and her two great-grandchildren Bennett and Henry; and her two brothers Greg (Anna) Sjoberg and Gerald Sjoberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and LaVerne Sjoberg, her brothers Ronald and Lee Sjoberg and her mother and father in law Elyce and Robert Baier.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the Boundary Waters Care Center and the Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital for their care. Special thanks to Dolly Lindroos, Pat Marsnik and Barb Fultz for their care, friendship and support for Sherry.
Her family plans to hold a family memorial for Sherry in the summer of 2021.
