TED NIELSEN

Theodore (Ted) Michael Nielsen, 76, of Ely passed January 2, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.  

Ted was born in Bagley to Alvin and Bernice Nielsen. Ted was a logger for most of his life, owning and operating Nielsen Logging until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. 

 Ted is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Bernice Nielsen, daughter Tina Garcia, and granddaughter Autumn Grace Nielsen, and several family members. 

 Ted is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Lynne Nielsen; his daughter, Terri Nielsen Jones (Wayne); sons Todd (Lisa), Michael (Sarah), David and Steven; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Peter (Vanra) Nielsen; and sister, Vi (Hank) Reyerson. Many other family members. 

Ted’s memory and love will be missed by all.  

A celebration of life will be held on January 14, 2023 at the Ely Senior Center from 2-4 p.m.
