Tanner Lee Aho, 17, passed away from health complications at Children’s Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, MN on December 5, 2024 with both of his parents at his side.
Anyone who knew Tanner was touched by his kindness, generosity and warm heart. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping, riding his wheeler and spending time with his beloved friends. He enjoyed his life to the fullest, including trips to Alaska, a fishing trip to Zup’s Fishing Resort in Canada, and various trips to fairs and festivals with his family.
Tanner was preceded in death by his wonderful grandmothers Fauna Aho (Babbitt) and Nancy Swanson (Babbitt), and loving aunt Flossie Swanson (Babbitt). He is survived by his parents Terry Aho (Babbitt) and Stacy Swanson (Babbitt), grandfathers Leroy (Cheryl) Aho and Larry Swanson, sisters Kayla Aho, Melissa Thompson and Savanna Schaumburg, along with many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He also leaves behind his puppy Remy that he loved so much
A celebration of life will be held next summer at one of Tanner’s favorite areas.
Family services have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
