Wesley Weisinger, age 46, passed away on December 15, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Wesley was born October 3, 1977 in Virginia, Minnesota to Neil and Barbara Weisinger, the oldest of four children. Wesley grew up in Winton and graduated with the Class of 1997 in Ely. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his dad Neil and grandpa Reinhardt. He loved four-wheeling and was a member of The Prospector ATV Club since 2021. He was also a member of the Ely-Winton Rod and Gun Club.
Wesley was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Rena Weisinger, Richard and Laurette Reinhardt and many other loved ones including his beloved canine companion Weenie who was always by his side.
Wesley is survived by his father Neil (Sheila), mother Barbara, siblings Jennifer (Jason), Stacy (Allan) and Darrin (Denton); his five nieces Reagan, Addyson, Eden, Avary and Amiah; brother-in-laws Jeremiah and Aaron; step-sister Jessica (Cody) and their kids Jeffery, Dominic and Elliana; three step-brothers John (Alyssa) and their kids Hailey, Ryder and Johnny, Austin and his son James, and Ashton; he is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Wesley touched many people’s lives and will be dearly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 30, 2023 at Veterans on the Lake, 161 Fernberg Rd., Ely from 1-4 p.m.
The family would like to thank Jake Mather for always being there for Wesley; the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Unit in Eveleth; Dr. Smith of Essentia in Virginia; Dr. Erik Wendland, Nephrologist; all the other many Doctors, Nurses who helped Wesley in the last 37 years; Essentia East Range Hospice; Dr. Keith Peterson and Jo who made things so much easier during the last nine weeks of his life.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
