RIP John. Condolences to his family. I met John back in the 90's. I enjoyed his tales of the cabin as well as his replies about playing basketball around the range. I never told him I was happy not to have played against him (at playing time I'd guess he had about 6" and 100# on me. John had a good sense of humor.

My father,John Mantel, was a fishing buddie of John's years ago. John told me stories of their fishing expeditions. He once said that he admired my father because could find fish where and when no one else could.
